TREE HOUSE

TREE HOUSE

TREE HOUSE
Lugo

The house is located looking from the top of the southern slope of the banks of the river Miño.

The main structure of the house is the chimney that is used on all three floors and in turn serves as an element of vertical communication of the spaces. All rooms are connected by a skylight that allows light to penetrate throughout the building, reminiscent of sunlight falling through a treetop. /Through a skylight, light falls from above throughout the building, reminiscent of sunlight falling through a treetop.

The building is divided into three floors that pose the three uses it has. The first floor is the day area which is completely open, almost without any interior-exterior limits. In the night area, on the upper floor, the space is more timid and closed to the outside even though it is a viewpoint overlooking the river. Finally, the lower floor seeks a natural relationship with the water almost as if you were in a cave that opens up to nature, being able to enjoy this space all year round.

We want to live in this house in the most natural way possible, creating a protected volume that almost floats in the air like the branches of a tree.
