FS HOUSE
Narón
This project explores the contrast of materials to create a refuge. The structure is defined by the honesty of exposed concrete, with board-formwork that provides a human scale and frames the space, while cedar wood, treated with oil, brings an intense and warm scent to the home.
The life of the house flows through a versatile and bright space. The kitchen and the living room, epicenters of daytime activity, are directly connected but can be separated. Through concealed sliding panels, the space expands or contracts, offering a setting for family gatherings or a corner for privacy.
The design seeks human connection through carefully considered details. The wooden handrail, for example, is ergonomically designed to invite touch. Its continuous, polished form allows the hand to glide effortlessly along its path. The lighting is designed to create different atmospheres depending on the needs and the moment.
The fireplace is the heart of the living room. It represents the ancestral fire, the gathering point that transforms a house into a home. Beyond its emotional value, the firewood also serves as an intelligent support system for the aerothermal heating, optimizing energy efficiency and showing that tradition and technology can coexist in a cozy and functional dwelling.
